Just a quick outfit post as I head to the office on a chilly Tuesday morning! My goal is to create a few more looks with this red skirt I bought from LOFT last Fall, and pair it with colours aside from black. Recently, I read in Harper's Bazaar that red is considered a neutral...what are your thoughts? Let's see what I can come up with throughout this season!
Hi B! I haven't checked your blog for awhile and I must tell you I LOVE your hair!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this combo. anything red+leopard i love!

I love red paired with leopard, mustard yellow and even turquoise. Great denim shirt too :) Heather
ReplyDeleteMmmm... red as a neutral tone?? I really don't agree with that! However it's true that red combined with neutral tones is a chic, stylish and classy combo!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely Bessie and your new haircut is beautiful!!

Love the red skirt with the leopard belt! I think red is a neutral, and I'm hoping to get a lot of wear out of my red slacks in the coming months. Love that bag - it was the right choice to get it :)
ReplyDeleteHa, I always tell people that red is basically a neutral. No one ever listens to me! Have I told you lately how much I love your hair? Because I really do.
ReplyDeleteLove your jean shirt!
ReplyDeleteOMG I think I bought that denim shirt last Labor Day Bessie...haha! After months of hunting for the right ONE, I love the fit & the length!

I love how the red looks against the leopard! I don't wear much red...I have difficulty styling it, plus I hate how I have to wash it separately :)

Wow, has it gotten cold in Chicago already? I'm longing for the day I can pull out the coats. We're still in the middle 90 degree weather. I love the red, denim and leopard, this combo always looks good together.
ReplyDeleteI love this coat Bessie, it really suits you and gives you the perfect working woman look, I'm sorry to hear it's getting colder in the Windy City, the temperatures are depressingly nosediving here too.
ReplyDeleteI love this skirt and blouse ..
ReplyDeleteI like your look
xx
I can see red being a "neutral" in the sense that there are tons of colors that will go with red from things that are bright and punchy like turquoise or yellow to keeping it real neutral with brown or black.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Melissa
Gorgeous skirt! Love it with the cheetah!

Red a neutral? Really?! I don't know if I agree with that. I'm still adjusting to leopard print being a neutral! The skirt looks great styled with the denim shirt here xo
ReplyDeleteIm not sure if red could be neutral, but you look great in it
ReplyDeleteYou're wearing our skirt! Looking fab...and I don't think red is a neutral lol...maybe like a dark burgundy could be considered to be one?
ReplyDeleteLove the trench coat, adorable look.

Great to see a pop of colour. I am heading towards burgundy this fall, but like you I tend to stick to accessories in neutral or black. Message to brain I need to be more inventive!

ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
Love this outfit and super jealous that you can wear a denim shirt to work. I don't know how I feel about red being a neutral. I'm torn.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit. I can see why they say red is a neutral because you can pair it with a lot of other colors.
ReplyDeleteI can totally see how red can be a neutral. Well, I can convince myself that anything is a neutral so I'm probably not the best source for that question :-p.
ReplyDeleteLove the red skirt with the trench! It's so Sex and the City :-)
Great look and I love the skirt paired with the denim shirt! And that bag....ohmy, that bag!! I never thought of red as a neutral before...maybe oxblood??? I will have to think about that one lol!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit...I have always wanted a classic trench coat but have not found a need for it.
ReplyDeleteYes I think red is very neutral and goes well with most color. With the exception of green...I don't want to look a walking Christmas tree :)

ReplyDeleteLove the combination of trench and denim, super chic! and looks even better when adding a pop of color like red! I'm sure you are the most stylish one at your work place ;)

Love your new haircut! I could definitely see red as being considered a neutral. People have been doing pops of red in outfits for a while, so it seems only natural to officially consider it as one of the neutral bunch. In reality, it seems like all the primary colors should be considered neutrals.
ReplyDeleteYou are very elegant and classy as always. Love your trench and your red skirt is absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the look. Red, a neutral? At this stage I don't have any red item in my wardrobe because I get tired of it quite easily. But every few years I buy red trousers. Perhaps it's time to get some now...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! <3
ReplyDeleteLoving your trench!!! cute!!! xx
ReplyDeleteI don't think red is a neutral.. definitely no :P but I like red and I also like your outfit which has actually inspired me to take out some trenches and wear them for a change. those sunnies and the bag are so classy btw. wonderful!
