How's your week going? Flying by, rather slow, unpredictable, boring, awesome? I'd have to say I'm having a rather good week. I am finally getting used to taking public transportation to get to work, 3rd week at our new office. In the past 7 years, I've enjoyed the luxury of walking to work. The "L" train was solely reserved for weekends to explore neighborhoods around Chicago. The elevator I'm standing in takes me to the port to get on the water taxi. The Windy City offers road, rail, and water public transportation....but no it doesn't offer public air transportation, wouldn't that be nice?

This is a great, professional look! I love the chevron, and the shoes. You have a great attitude toward public transportation. After nearly 10 years of riding the bus to work and school in SF, I'm officially "over it." I treat myself to a cab to and from work at least once per week to deal with it, haha!

ReplyDeleteAs for public transportation, I actually enjoy riding ours... most of the time. My office is a little bit of a hike from our stop and so is my apartment but I enjoy the walk. Certainly beats dealing with rush hour and I do that occassionally as well.

ReplyDeleteGreat look! I used to take the Metro train to work every day when I worked on Capitol Hill. It was a hassle on the days when it was especially crowded, got stuck, etc., but most of the time I loved using the commute to read.

That chevron shirt is fabulous, Bessie and I love how you kept the skirt navy too!! Enjoy traveling by public transport. I remember, when in New York, I used to take the subway to work, and it was always fun watching different people on board, listening to the ipod and reading books and fashion magazines, with a cup of piping hot Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand! ReplyDeleteGreat fun top. Public transportation in San Diego is horrible. Depending on where you go you have to plan an hour or two to reach your destination. I plan my route from home to work. I have take the trolley downtown, take the bus north and walk about 1 mile to walk. It's takes about 1hr with public transportation verse car which takes about 20mins to 40mins depending on traffic.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have to take public transportation although a water taxi sounds kind of fun and relaxing. I hate the subway so much since I have a large "bubble" that I like strangers to stay out of. A couple of weeks ago I was really annoyed that the person next to me kept jabbing me and I had no where to go to get out of his elbow's way and then about 10 minutes later he started talking to me. It turns out it was someone I've known for years so I forgave the constant elbow attacks. Looking up to see who it was would have violated the unwritten "no eye contact" rule. Sadly this is the second time this has happened to me in the last few months. See what you have been missing?
Such an adorable outfit. My week has been going good. Just been a little stressed from work with all the new fall accessories that have been coming it. I love them all but have no time to get them all unpacked and put out on to the sale full. Hope to get an accessories team to help me out here soon b/c it no long a one women job.
