My retro inspired geometric jacket and dress are from Forever21! I will *pause* as you sit in shock after reading where I discovered today's ensemble! I suppose you were guessing a vintage apparel shop, perhaps even exerting *le sigh* as you scrolled through these photos? Red and Head to Toe Pattern will be major trends for Fall! And while this look is currently on trend, I couldn't resist a "then & now," post! The shift dress, all over pattern, and peter pan collared jacket reminded me of the 1960s which called for my 1961 vintage crocodile hardframe handbag. The only thing missing is a beehive...hmm on second thought would that have been too literal?
BTW! For my discerning readers, the quality of this suit is amazing! On both pieces, the shell is 100% woven cotton with 100% cotton lining, and yes, the sleeves in the jacket are lined as well! Not a fan of red? It's available in light blue!

Shock is right!! F21? I was thinking perhaps Mom had made these amazing pieces! Of course I'm in love! I instantly thought "MAD MEN" and I'm drooling on my keyboard! ReplyDeleteLove that jacket and dress; it's very retro/Jackie O. styled! It's good to see that Forever 21 started selling more classy items. I remember I used to shop there when I was in middle school, but then stopped because they had changed their style entirely to boho and neon tees. Of course this isn't bad, but when it's all you sell, it can be a problem. Glad they've changed again though!

I am so into this retro 60s look thanks to my current obsession, Lana Del Rey (which may explain my current profile pic). Although I must say, even before Lana Del Rey, I always had a great respect and appreciation for the fashion of women like Twiggy, Bardot, Fonda, Katharine Ross and etc...they had such indelible charm and class.

I just bought this same dress two days ago and tried to do an outfit with it, but it doesn't look nearly as good on me as it does on you! I might have to get mine altered :( I also saw this in a light blue with dark blue squares, but I think you made the right choice on the red :)
