If I had to select a favorite Social Media outlet, it'd be Twitter.  I enjoy getting a live stream of thoughts from others.  Yesterday, I was checking out #stylechat and someone tweeted, "When do we think Mint Green will come back in style?"  Mint green has always been a favorite colour of mine, hence the reason why I've had this blouse for 7 years.  Is the colour trend starting to fade?  I have to say that in September editorials it's being replaced by burgandy, which was the "IT" colour last Fall. We'll see burgandy again, and this year, in varying shades, such as bordeaux and merlot.  There's always a colour of the season, one year it may be your favorite, another year it repeats from the prior, and sometimes we cross our fingers that a certain colour just never comes back into style....

  22. I'm itching to get a bunch of burgundy pieces into my closet - pronto. I don't follow runway trends in any meaningful way (I just pick up whatever oozes into the mainstream) but I did have a chance to see some pre-fall looks and I am IN LOVE.

    I don't differentiate colors that are in-style versus those that have seen better fashion days (I only hope neon will die out soon); I just wear what I like. I'm glad you hang on to things for a long time though - you should always be true to yourself.

    P.S - the top looks more icy blue to me but hell, it's extremely flattering on your olive skin.

    i love mint green, but i usually choose it for accessories because my husband's grandparents house was actually painted mint green, which was awesome, but i can't stand him bringing up that i am dressed like a house so i avoid it!
