Hello Summer!







Sunday Trunk Show

Summer is officially here!   If you didn't go by the book, you would have thought it arrived much sooner!  We've been experiencing humid, mid 90 degree weather, all week!  And it doesn't look like it's going to cool down anytime soon!  During the summer, I enjoy spending weekends by the beach and lake in Chicago!  It's filled with tourists and locals, everyone is so relaxed and daytime just feels so much longer!  Sometimes it's alright for the clock to stop ticking at 3pm...preferably on a Saturday or Sunday.

  8. I love your fun, summer outfit! As your temps heat up, ours are officially cold and gray for the foreseeable future. I definitely need to make a concerted effort to get out of the freezing city this time of year. I love the beach and the lake (Tahoe) as well :)

    It was 99 degrees yesterday where I work and there was NO relief at the beach either! Zero breeze. Luckily it's supposed to cool down to the mid 80s on the weekend.

  19. In Barcelona summer has also arrived. The hot is so intense and the humidity so high that during the midday is practically impossible to go out. And they said that next week an intense heat wave is expected… It’s so difficult to look chic with this weather!!! ;-)

  20. Really, really loving those shorts Bessie! And those shoes are just too perfect for words. It's been hot like that here in Pittsburgh too. It makes it miserable to even go outside. Hopefully a cooling off is in the works.

  26. Love this top! As I was scrolling down I wasn't expecting purple shorts but I love the look! Even though it's a longer sleeve you don't look too hot for the weather.

  47. That ring just draws the eye! So gorgeous the way you did your nails such a striking jewel tone color to match the jewel colors in the ring. I love the cool vibe of your blouse and shorts. Such pretty summer colors! Love the sandals! When you expect a matchy/matchy you so stylishly went for a great sandal color.
    Also I have to add that you look terrific in that red lipstick!
    Yes, summer is in full swing here as well, weather wise and vacation wise. I'm spending all my energies entertaining the kids I hardly have any left...

  69. Love the finger piece. The purple shorts are unusual - but it works. I do like the top but not sure if I would have paired it with the shorts. Do you prefer long sleeves as opposed to short sleeves? Long sleeves tend to look more elegant. As usual Bessie you look great!
