Dress Shirt, Shirt Dress?  Two pieces in your wardrobe that sounds the same but doesn't quite suit the same purpose or could it?  I discovered this "shirt," in my Mom's closet a few weeks ago!  Originally I was going to wear jeans, turning it into a tunic...but it was a sweltering 90 degree, high humidity day so I wore a chemise dress underneath instead.  So what you would call it....dress shirt or shirt dress?

  1. Love it Bessie!!! It looks great on you! I call it the tunic dress, because I have no idea what to call it! You saw my post the other day on it and they are so hard to style, but they are so comfortable!!! I love it with your shoes! Have a great day! I have a new post, so come visit me when you can! xo Pip

  21. Whatever you call it, I was getting nervouser and nervouser until I realized you were wearing something underneath--I thought that was the hem of a pair of shorts showing. The shess (it's either that or a dhirt ;P) has a very clean, simple, attractive look--and must always be worn with something underneath. Dad will back me up on that! =)

  37. I would call it a shirt dress. They have some super cute ones out but I just can't get into them. I always feel like i'm half dressed. haha! Which makes no sense because they are as long as other dressed but just the feel/look makes it seem that way.

  63. Hello my dear... sorry for not getting back to you on your lovely comments but the summer activities with the kids are draining my energies!... I swear that there is an I.V. line connected from me to them and all the energy is being siphoned warp speed from my body to theirs.. It seems the more drained I get the more energy they seem to pick up! hahaha But I LOVE it! There is no one in the world I would rather spend summers with than my family creating memories together! (even if it means posting a bit less during the summer)
I LOVE this shirt dress on you! So chic, airy, avant garde even! You can definitely pull this look off with ease and charm! You look fabulous!
Have a great day my friend. Hope the weather in Chicago is treating you well.
