I know....I said I was taking 3 days off but I missed all of you!
Let me fill you in on my Thanksgiving ;)
My Uncle sent us a turkey and ham from Harry & David! So our thanksgiving wasn't 100% turkeyless!
| Not the whole bird, but I'll take it! |
I did some "light" Black Friday Shopping at the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall at 6PM (not am)!

What did Bessie buy?

Nope, dissapointed like you. I'll post it Monday.
ReplyDeleteI woke up at 3am to hit the mall and found a few great deals at Ann Taylor & Gap, but wasn't impressed anywhere else. :( Maybe Cyber Monday will make up for it?
ReplyDeleteI did notice some things I wanted for myself were non exiistant as far as deals go. For the kids, I kinda struck gold. Old Navy, Target, H&M, Wet Seal, and Macy's. Oh yea, Toys R Us and Walmart. Got a 32 inch for 188. And 40 inch flat screens for 239, play station 3 for 199. I'm done Xmas shopping. My kids will be very pleased!
ReplyDeleteI worked and then came home to clean the house up some.
ReplyDeleteI'm not brave enough to go out into the stores that day. I like reading all the stories of the craziness though. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving :)

I wasn't impressed by the Black Friday deals AT ALL. 3 years ago, my family and I were in Vegas for Thanksgiving and the deals there were out of this world. We went back again this year because I thought we could find the same kinds of amazing things for great deals. I was super disappointed. Especially since I gave up shopping for a year and this was my first "big" shopping excursion. Or at least...it was supposed to be....
ReplyDeleteCute boots!
I've heard so much about Black Friday but yet to have a chance to visit. Lol! Those boots are indeed value for money. I'm sure it'll look good on you. Happy Thanksgiving, sweetie!

I didn't go shopping on Black Friday at all. My husband and I went out at mid-night on Thanksgiving last year but it was disappointed. This year we decided to sleep in =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like your thanksgiving was quite a feast;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't do any shopping, I actually have never done Black Friday shopping. Crazy that cars parked on the lawn!
ReplyDeleteLove your boots!
I didn't get out for black friday at all. Here's hoping cyber monday will bring some good deals.
ReplyDeleteOh Outlets are great. Chicago's outlets must have had awesome deals.
ReplyDeleteLove the boots. Such a nice color.

At least you scored the cute boots
ReplyDeletenever heard of it! looks cool! nice boots!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are super cute!! Least you got them, I didn't think the sales were that great & people going so stir crazy didn't fill me with joy about shopping!! Am glad you got a turkey, sounds like you had a wonderful time!! I hope your weekend has been bliss!! xx
ReplyDeleteBlack Friday deals are never good for cloths. The best deals are always on electronics. The best time to do cloths chopping is at the end of the season when retailers are getting rid of winter cloths for their spring lines.
ReplyDeleteI love your new boots:)
ReplyDeleteNice boots...I think it's all hype with the deals...glad at least you found something you liked:-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving!! I did a little BF shopping, too, but found that the deals didn't really hit me. I did do a little online shopping at JCPenneys though and got some cute boots for a deal! =)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great Thanksgiving to me. I love the boots, it's good to hear you've been enjoying yourself.
ReplyDeleteHurrah for uncle!!! Harry and David stuff is great. LOL, I was so happy to see the turkey, you would have thought he sent it to me! :D
ReplyDeleteye for uncle saving the day!
ReplyDeletei hope you have better deals very soon..love the boots:)
Cute boots! I was in the Caribbean for Black Friday so I missed the Black Friday sales.
ReplyDeleteGreat boots! I only made out with a dress and a few items from Bath and Body Works.
ReplyDeleteYes, the deals were not good. A lot of my friends have been saying that the deals were on items that haven't moved in a while. All the good stuff were not available.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking boots btw!
those a wonderful boots. I had a great thanksgiving a great outing with my sisters on black friday even though we did more laughing than shopping.

I didn't think the deals were that great either :( Do you ever go to the Lighthouse Place Outlet in Indiana?
ReplyDeleteohhh your new boots are so pretty!! love :)!!
ReplyDeleteCute boots!!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, I was quite disappointed in the deals this year. I found a few items but not much.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! sorry i'm late i know.. sure, you had a great one Bessie! God Bless!
ReplyDeleteI stayed home...Cyber Monday is more appealing!

That's a great pair of boots! I picked up a pair on Black Friday myself. I wasn't "blown away" by the deals either. I think the retailers save their best discounts for TV's & computers at this time of the year.

i swooped a cashmere tank for 10 bucks and also an angora and rabbit fur red hat for 10 dollars as well. Sadly, not much else but i am happy with what i did get!
ReplyDeletelove your boots! great basic pair that will go with a ton im sure!

I feel like I never find great deals on black friday. I think next year I'll just stay in and wait for cyber mondays.

the sales were junk this year. only a couple stores offered a discount for the entire store, and i made sure to hit that one (express) first. other than that, majority of the stuff i bought wasn't on black friday sale.

Completely agree the deals weren't very good, but great find on the boots!
ReplyDeleteI stayed in and organized the house! That's really boring, I know! I followed you on Twitter - and a lot of others said the same. Deals weren't that great! At least you got a pair of great boots! (And your dad is so sweet for driving you to the outlets!)
ReplyDeleteLovely boots! We missed you!) I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I've got a new post where I experiment on my hair. It's a lot of fun!) Love to hear what you think. Xo

I actually got a lot of shopping done on Black Friday! I got most of my gifts for my husband, and even picked up a few things for myself! Unfortunately, however, most of the things I picked up weren't particularly great deals :(
